Viti Levu’s northern coast, the Suncoast, has a number of smaller tourism enterprises and boutique properties attending the workshop.
Suncoast members Dolphin Island, No Worries Bay, Dreamview Villas and Talanoa Treks shared some of their experiences.

‘The training has been very interesting and useful for us. We have learnt lots of new ways to use local produce in many different ways. When we go back to our community we will use many of these techniques in our food preparation for our guests.’ Elina Ranadi, Naga village

The skills training includes a variety of different cooking methods, many of which are able to be used in rural communities as well as modern kitchens.

The training is supported by the Ministry of Industry Trade and Tourism (MITT), Ministry of Agriculture and hosted by Dreamview Villas.
