Fiji’s Suncoast at Long Beach Scuba Show 2016

The annual California Long Beach Scuba Show 2016 returned to the Long Beach Convention Center last wekeend, with more than 300 exhibitors, vendors and diving experts. Fiji’s Suncoast was represented by Volivoli Beach Resort and Wananavu Beach Resort.

The show ran from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 5.

“Every year for the past 10 years, we have had a booth in the Fiji Village at the Long Beach Scuba Show to present the awesome diving in Fiji” Volivoli Beach Resort Nick Darling said.

Of all the visitors to the show, 68% said that they wanted to see dive destinations.

The base population in California within one-hour driving radius of the show is 17+ million. There is a large attendance from neighboring states (AZ, NV, UT), making it the largest demographic area for scuba divers in the wolrd!

California is the largest single diving market segment in the U.S. (source: DEMA), with Southern California having the largest concentration of divers in the world. PADI and many major equipment manufacturers are headquartered in Southern California.

California divers are the most active in the USA (source: PADI). With 151 dive retailers in California, many of which send representatives and their customers to the show, this is an ideal platform at which to present Fiji diving..

Long Beach Scuba Show 2016

The show added more space this year with another portion of aisle for about 76,000 square feet. It attracted more than 10,000 attendees through the door.
