Fiji Cancer Society

Fiji Cancer Society continues to advance its mission of providing knowledge, helping with Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment Support & Hope to patients and their families affected by Cancer.

PINKTOBER

October is marked as Pinktober Month or Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is at this time where increased awareness of the disease is being advocated to all sectors of society.

Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel general manager Rameshwari  Mani said the agreement symoblised the company’s support for a worthy cause.

“Our support towards the society is being made known, not because of wanting publicity but to simply show out fervent support,” Mrs Mani said.

“This is also to create awareness around the magnanimous and noble initiatives of the society in the fight against cancer. It’s not only brave but one worthy of commendation.

“The basic principle is that one should not expect anything back when helping or giving.

“It is recognition on its own and a very fulfilling experience when you are able to help someone in need. Just making a difference, in whatever little way counts.”

Society manager Rajshree Baleisuva said they were thankful for the initiative as it would help advance its work.
